Leaving at top speed, with a very good reception from the specialized press, “Gran Turismo 7” went off the road in the hands of the players. The car racing simulation from Sony and Polyphony Digital has caused their ire following the rollout of update 1.07 last week. This has, among other fixes, made unlocking new cars more difficult by reducing the rewards received for completing certain races.

But in the eyes of players, this rebalancing is only intended to push them to shell out money with microtransactions. They expressed their dissatisfaction by indulging in “review bombing”, a practice which consists of massively negatively rating a game. Thus, on the site Metacriticthe title recently released on PS4 and PS5 has a disastrous average rating of 1.6 out of 10.

But one of the angry players didn’t stop there. Known under the pseudonym of Septomor, he detailed on the forums of PSNProfiles a method to amass more than 500,000 credits per hour without even having to play, reports Eurogamer. It consists of using a script for Windows PC that he has made available and using the Remote Play feature, which allows remote access to a PS4 or PS5. The cheat system takes care of driving and collecting credits for the player.
