A failed criminal raid in the heart of Rosario during the afternoon of this Friday ended with three underage thieves — two 14-year-olds and one 13-year-old— locked up and surrounded by neighbors and the Police in the building where an optician works at 1300 Miter Street. Before, they wanted to rob a greengrocer’s and the woman who attended to them recognized them for another recent incident, rebuked them and kicked them out. In the end, they were delayed.
The delinquents’ journey began around 3:00 p.m. when trying to rob a grocery store located on 9 de Julio at 1100. The sequence was recorded on the store’s security cameras and was also reported by the greengrocer: they entered and asked her some questions, but in a matter of seconds the girl recognized their faces thanks to the images she saw of an almost identical event last weekendin another business in the neighborhood.

“I crouched down to a garbage can and when I got up I found my face on the counter, I told him that I recognized his face, they were the same three,” he explained. Immediately, He left his post and began to kick them out., at the same time that a neighbor entered and also collaborated to expel them. “I feel that fear, so far my legs are shakingbut you have to keep working and take care of yourself, it’s unfortunate,” said the greengrocer in Telenight Rosario (El Tres) about the tense moment he went through.
Not satisfied with that and expelled from the grocery store, the criminals continued their criminal incursion in the middle of the afternoon and entered an optical center in Miter at 1300 for the same purposes, one block from the first trade. But there, two employees managed to quickly go out into the street and left them locked inside the building.
About twenty minutes later, Police arrived at the scene and held them in a corner.. There were eight security force motorcycles deployed on the block. Nevertheless, the thieves found a back door and escaped the premises toward the ten-story building.
They were surrounded, although until then the troops had not been able to stop them and they lost sight of them. An hour later, the neighbors alerted that the three minors they were celebrating that they had not been caughtfacing a balcony.
Finally, Police managed to capture the three thieves and took them away in a van.

The failed criminal raid caused a stir in those two blocks of downtown Rosario. When comparing the images from the security cameras of the grocery store that was robbed this Friday with those of one that was robbed last Saturday, it was found that they were the same criminals.
The previous weekend, unlike this Friday afternoon, they were able to achieve their objective.
