A little over a year ago, I brought you a video regarding the RØDECaster Pro II, a complete audio studio (which, by the way, is an MFi!) RED that I’ve been using on all of our podcasts and also to capture the audio from our videos to YouTube.
Recently, the Australian manufacturer announced several novelties — among them the RØDECaster Duowhich is nothing more than a more compact version of the original, now with two XLR/Neutrik inputs instead of four.
And that’s all I wanted:
For the rest, the RØDECaster Duo is as capable and powerful as the bigger one, bringing the same audio system quad-core with Revolution Preamps and APHEX processing, wireless receiver, six SMART pads programmable switches, two USB-C interfaces, recording via microSD or external drive, 5.5-inch touchscreen with high definition and even now comes with a front 3.5mm TRRS output for headphones and headsets.
The RØDECaster Pro II is obviously still on sale, at US$700, but now we have the more compact option of the RØDECaster Duo for US$500 — which, in my opinion, is the adequate model for the vast majority of cases. Too good! ????????
