He won 16 duels by KO/TKO, 12 of them in the first round. However, it wasn’t until the third that he got his first win in the world’s biggest MMA organization in his debut when he finished Bernardo Sopaje in crazy fashion.
Oliveira lost the first round, in the second he was a little better, he was able to win it for himself. In the third, he completely dominated, but decided not to rely on the point referee. He bet everything on one card and went after termination. He did that in 4:41.
He started a great series of strikes, which he ended with a brutal jumping knee. The opponent then went limp to the ground and no further intervention was needed. An absolutely phenomenal debut that will be remembered for a long time to come.
