Sadness prevailed throughout Lebanon, during the funeral of the late artist Georges Al-Rassi, who passed away from our world following a tragic accident.
The family of the late artist appeared during the funeral of the body, in a state of shock and great sadness, as mourners gathered to bid farewell to his body in the Church of Saints Sargius and Bacchus, the Righteous One, Jbeil in Lebanon, according to what was reported by IT in Arabic.
A video clip showed touching moments of farewell to the body, where the deceased was carried on the shoulders, some of his songs were placed, and the coffin was shaken amid a large gathering.
The church received the body of the late by placing banners with pictures of George Al-Rassi, on which was written you are love, from the audience, his friends and his fans.
His sister Sandrine also collapsed, crying, saying: “George has a tender, kind and generous heart,” and I sent him a touching message: “You live in my soul, the pain in my heart, and his son in my neck all my life.”
His mother also appeared in a state of collapse upon the arrival of her son’s body before the funeral ceremonies began. She appeared in a daze and danced to the tunes of her late son’s songs louder through loudspeakers, amid dancing and everyone’s celebration of his body and his wedding day.
It is noteworthy that George Al-Rassi died after a terrible traffic accident on the Lebanese-Syrian border road. The accident occurred after his return from Damascus, where he performed a concert.
