The Egyptian artist, Sherine Abdel Wahab, penetrated the isolation of the artist, Fadl Shaker, who resides in the Ain El-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp, and cannot leave it, as he has been wanted by the Lebanese judiciary for 10 years.
This remarkable visit, in its content and form, is the first announced visit by an Arab artist to Fadl Shaker at his residence, where she visited him with her husband, Hossam Habib, during their trip to Lebanon. Local media reported that they met at an evening that was held on Thursday evening, and producer Youssef Harb, poet Ahmed Madi and some friends, including the journalist close to Fadl, Hussein Khreis, participated in the meeting.
The artist, Fadel Shaker, published a video collected by Sherine Abdel Wahhab and Hussam Habib, through his official account on Instagram, and commented on it, saying: “What did I miss for Heidi Friday sweets after many years, and what did I miss you.”
The meeting takes place 12 years after their last meeting. And there was information that they are preparing for a new duet. In a video clip, the two singers appeared to sing their song “Every Year You Are My Love.” Sherine commented on the success of the song since its release and said: “This song brings people back with it, and there is no occasion other than when they celebrate each other with it.”
It was a friendly meeting, as Sherine sang the song “Ya Habibi Ya Masr” by Shadia, with the participation of the attendees from Hossam Habib and Fadl Shaker, and a number of their friends, and she appeared during the video embracing her husband Hossam Habib.
Fadl also sang in another video clip, “My Heart Follows My Secrets”, and the two parties recalled the memories of the New Year’s song that was released in 2004. Sherine revealed Fadl’s shyness in front of the camera during filming.
