Video shows civilians fleeing in the city of Irpin when a Russian attack hit them and took their lives

(CNN) – A video has been known that shows the moment in which a Russian military attack killed a family in Irpin, Ukrainea city on the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital Kiev.

Irpin has been the scene of heavy shelling by the Russian army in recent days. The video shows a Ukrainian soldier standing outside a building on a street. Suddenly, an explosion is seen and heard on the video.

Are heard debris falling on the building and the street is obscured by a cloud of dust. Several journalists are heard reacting to the attack.

As the scene begins to clear, someone is seen pushing away the ukrainian soldier. Other soldiers run across the street and appear to be checking the status of several people on the ground.

CNN previously reported that the mayor of Irpin said that at least eight people died in military strikes on Sunday.

“A family died,” Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn said in a statement. “In front of my eyes, two small children and two adults died”.
