VIDEO – The Acura ARX-06 on the track at Road Atlanta

The Acura ARX-06 continues its tests. After its inaugural tests on the Paul-Ricard circuit airfield and on the Magny-Cours track with Ricky Taylor and Matt McNury, it was at Road Atlanta that the American prototype took to the track. This time, it is Filipe Albuquerque who is behind the wheel of the one that will participate in the IMSA GTP category from the 2023 24 Hours of Daytona (January 26-29). Taylor and Albuquerque, usual holders of Wayne Taylor Racing, will return to the Georgian circuit in competition from the first days of October for Petit Le Mans, the final of the 2022 season.

This will also be the last outing of the Acura ARX-05 in competition. For the occasion, they will be joined by the three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2017, 2020, 2022), Brendon Hartley. WTR has yet to announce its drivers for fiscal year 2023, but Taylor and Albuquerque will still be on board. Meyer Shank Racing, which recently received its copy of the ARX-06, will be the other team in charge of operating the prototype in IMSA and announced its first pilot in the person of Tom Blomqvist.
