Video clips circulating on social media from the scene of the explosion in Benafoul and its surroundings showed the moment the explosion sounded and the flames it left behind in the sky of the town.
The videos transmitted from the scene of the explosion at a center for the Scouts of the Islamic Message – “Amal” movement showed the massive destruction caused by the explosion, and the damage it caused to the adjacent municipal building.
The Red Cross said, “An-Nahar” that “the number of victims in the Benafoul explosion is still unknown,” stressing that “the teams are on the scene to search for the wounded.”
Archyde.com also quoted a security source as saying that “at least one person was killed and 3 wounded in an explosion near Sidon, south of Lebanon.”
