Video: The US Food and Drug Administration approves the use of ‘Atalante’ in rehabilitation procedures

Stroke patients in the United States might soon benefit from the latest robots to facilitate the recovery process. The US Food and Drug Administration has approved Wandercraft’s “Atalante” for use in stroke rehabilitation.

The machine can assist with intensive gait training, especially for people with limited upper body mobility. The current generation Atalante consists of a battery-operated self-balancing device with adjustable steps.

It should be noted that structures that have been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration are still relatively rare, and they are still limited to helping in certain situations.
