In the aisles of the Ehpad Taillegrain in Bourges (Cher), we listen to rap. Because the residence for seniors organizes the first TikTok workshop in France. Its star characters are none other than its residents, who cover “La Kiffance” by Naps, “Fous ta cagoule” by Fatal Bazooka or even “Confessions nocturnes” by Diam’s and Vitaa.

As part of this animation, residents parody cult rap clips and post them on the TikTok social network. It’s already a success: their account already has tens of thousands of subscribers and more than 600,000 “likes”. One of their videos has nearly four million views.

At the initiative of this unconventional workshop, two caregivers, Elodie Mandler, used to animations in Ehpad, and Chloé Simonet, user of TikTok. If they amuse, these workshops have a real therapeutic function: “here, it was to stimulate cognitive functions, stimulate motor functions, explains Elodie Mandler.
