Algeria was held in check by Zimbabwe (2-2) on Monday in Harare on behalf of the third day of the CAN 2021 qualifiers. The game was marked by the stroke of genius of Riyad Mahrez. The Algerian international scored an incredible goal, concluding a dazzling counterattack, led by Saïd Benrahma.
The meeting was also marked by the huge ball of goalkeeper Raïs Mbolhi. Less than ten minutes from the end of regulation time, while Algeria led 2-1, and headed for a 4th straight victory in these qualifiers, the Algerian international goalkeeper commits a monumental blunder, by dropping in his cage a ball that seemed easy to capture, after a corner from Zimbabwe, which equalizes.
Apart from this huge ball, M’bolhi held his place well, coming out of goal balls. On the first Zimbabwean goal, the Algerian goalkeeper could not help it.
