We know the lineup for Vieilles Charrues 2024. Among the headliners announced in Carhaix in July, Sting, PJ Harvey, Simple Minds, Gossip, Grand Corps Malade, and Eddy de Pretto. A balance and eclecticism that the associative festival has always cultivated.
The Festival des Vieilles charrues will be held from July 11 to 14 in Carhaix. And we now know the program for this 32nd edition.

- Le dimanche Simple Minds, Kings of Leon, Eddy de Pretto
An eclectic program, “a musical photograph of the year“, mixing international and French headliners, but also the regional scene and the emerging figures of the year. “Trends, musical colors advance very quickly, there are many artists that we discover in September and who already in December become almost essential” explains Jérôme Tréhorel, the director of the Finistère festival.
Not to mention the festival’s taste for legends, particularly international ones. James Brown Before the Age of Reason, Deep Purple, Bruce Springsteen to name a few. In July, it will be the Australians from King of Leon who will take on this role on Sunday.
“It’s the return of rock, with this group which collects hits” rejoices Jérôme Tréhorel. They will have their only concert in France in July, “so we are very happy to have them, and they were keen to come to Vieilles Plows“.

On the set of France 3 Bretagne, Jérôme Trehorel also returned to security, with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games looming next summer. “We are working in exactly the same conditions as in past years, and the year 2022 was the test without calling the mobile forces, which come as reinforcements as part of the attack vigilance” he explains.
Alongside the 750 private security agents and 250 first aiders, it is the Finistère law enforcement agencies who will intervene around the major events of the summer up to the Olympics, which were once feared threatened.
In 2023, the Vieilles Charrues brought together 346,000 spectators, an attendance record. But the festival took place over 5 days. This year, the festival returns to its traditional format, over 4 days.
Online ticketing will open on Wednesday December 13, 2023 at 7 p.m. on the festival site, with tickets starting from 48 euros.
