Schwechat/Vienna – Vienna Airport handled 29.5 million passengers last year, an increase of 24.7 percent and the second-best result in the airport’s history. 93 percent of the pre-crisis level from 2019 has been reached. The top air travel destinations last year were Antalya, Mallorca, Barcelona, Bangkok, New York and Taipei, while the countries were Germany, Spain and Italy. Around 30 million passengers are also expected this year.
