Vienna (OTS) – During the ceremonial opening of the primary care center (PVZ) “Praxis Wilhelmstrasse” in Meidling, the Vienna Medical Association congratulates the founders on further strengthening primary care in Vienna: “The PVZ in Meidling is a prime example of the diversity and Accessibility of medical care in our city. It offers services in multiple languages ​​and focuses on family and preventive medicine and psychosocial health. What is particularly noteworthy is their commitment to people with a migrant or refugee background, from difficult social backgrounds, with addiction problems or disabilities, as well as to older people and people with walking difficulties. I wish the founders, Dr. Müller, Dr. Reiter, Dr. Vogel, and her team good luck with their PVZ and look forward to the positive impact it will have on medical care in Vienna. My thanks especially go to City Councilor Peter Hacker for the excellent cooperation beforehand,” says Johannes Steinhart, President of the Vienna and Austrian Medical Associations.

With the PVZ Praxis Wilhelmstrasse, the 15th primary care unit (PVE) is now in operation in Vienna, with many more to come: “The interaction between PVE, community and group practices as well as individual ordinations is the key to high-quality primary care and family medical health care in Vienna. Every PVE, like this second PVZ in Vienna-Meidling, is an essential building block and contributes to enriching the medical landscape of our city and making it more diverse. The Medical Association for Vienna is actively promoting the filling of all vacant health insurance positions, in any form of cooperation. We would like to reiterate our support for all those colleagues who would like to join the solidarity health system,” said Naghme Kamaleyan-Schmied, Vice President and Curia Chairwoman of the resident doctors of the Vienna Medical Association.
