The EU Parliament recently approved the stricter regulation of artificial intelligence (AI). The “AI Act” is based on a risk assessment of the technologies. The Viennese political scientist Barbara Prainsack takes a critical view of this. The researcher from the University of Vienna told the APA that AI technologies must also be evaluated and promoted more closely based on the question of what they can bring to society: “We have to start talking about what good innovation is.”
