Chennai: Actress Trisha Krishnan is gearing up for the release of her upcoming Tamil film Ranki. The actress opens up about the biggest fan fight in the Tamil film world. The actress opened up about the comparison between Vijay and Ajith.
Producer Dil Raju recently said that Vijay is the number one star in Tamil. Responding to his statement, Trisha said that since both are seniors and enjoying superstar status, it is impossible to say who is the bigger star.
Vijay’s Warisu and Ajith’s Thuni are clashing at the box office in January. Dil Raju called Vijay a bigger star than Ajith in Tamil. His words did not go down well with the fans of both the stars. This led to a huge fan fight.
In an interview with Galata, Trisha opened up about Vijay being considered a bigger star than Ajith. “I personally don’t believe in the numbers game. This is just a tag you get for your last movie. If your last picture performs well, you will be considered number 1. If you don’t have a release for a while, someone else will be in that position.”
Trisha said that she cannot choose between Ajith and Vijay. “Even before I started working, they were in the film industry. As the audience, we watch their films. If the audience chooses one person from the theater, they are happy to watch their films. Both are big superstars. How can I say who is bigger,” said Trisha.
Meanwhile, there are rumors in the Tamil film industry that Trisha will be reuniting with Vijay in an upcoming yet-to-be-titled Tamil film after 15 years.
Meanwhile, Trisha’s Ranki will release in theaters this week. Touted to be an action-thriller, she will play the role of a journalist. Trisha was last on screen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 1.
Trisha recently completed 20 years in the industry. In 2002, Trisha made her acting debut opposite Suriya in the Tamil romantic film Maunam Paesiyathe. Trisha has worked in more than 50 films in all South Indian languages and a few Hindi projects.
