‘Waaris’ is the new film in which Vijay plays the central role. The posters and other updates of the movie have been well received on social media. Now there are reports that the next schedule of the film will be Visakhapatnam. Pictures and videos of Vijay boarding a flight from Chennai to Visakhapatnam have gone viral on social media.

There are reports that the film, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, will feature Vijay as an app designer and the name of the actor’s role will be Vijay Rajendran. The film will be produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Thaman is composing the music for the film. The film also features SJ Suriya in a pivotal role. ‘Waaris’ is Vijay and SJ Surya’s fourth film together. ‘Mersal’, which released in 2017, was the last film in which both of them worked together. A prominent Telugu actor was initially slated for the role. But after a clash on the date, SJ came to Surya. Rashmika Mandhana is the heroine. Reportedly, Vijay considered Pooja Hegde, Kiran Advani and others for the film but finally chose Rashmika. Prabhu, Jayasudha, Sarathkumar, Khushbu, Srikanth, Sham, Sangeeta Krish, Samyukta, Yogi Babu and others are the main actors in the film.
