Viktor Orbán: God rest Mariann Vízkelety!

“God be with you, Mariann! Thank you for everything!” – this is how the Prime Minister said goodbye to Mariann Vízkelety, former Secretary of State for Public Administration and Justice and former president of the Hungarian Civil Cooperation Association.

Mariann Vízkelety, former State Secretary for Public Administration and Justice, Prime Minister’s Commissioner, board member of several NGOs, former president of the Hungarian Civil Cooperation Association, passed away at the age of 67 following a long and serious illness.

In connection with the sad news, the presidency and staff of the Hungarian Civil Cooperation Association (MPEE) also expressed their condolences. The organization reminded: Vízkelety Mariann has been a member of the Hungarian Civil Cooperation Association since its inception, and held the position of president of the organization between January 23, 2019 and December 31, 2023.

“Thank you for your self-sacrificing work and dedication, with which you helped our association. His life’s path was guided by his commitment to God, Family, Country, and unconditional love, which he learned primarily at home from his dear parents and passed on to his children, friends, and colleagues. On behalf of our board and colleagues, we express our sincere condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family. His memory will remain with us forever!” – can be read in the announcement of the MPEE.
