While traveling in the village of Haut-Fays on a moped, two young people born in 2006 and 2007 were attacked by an exasperated resident, said the Luxembourg prosecutor’s office. The 40-year-old returned to his home to come out with a chainsaw. He then advanced towards the two teenagers to threaten them with the lit device.
The man struck the moped with a chainsaw, partially cutting the saddle. While trying to retrieve his helmet, one of the two teenagers received a chainsaw blow to the shoulder and hands. He only suffers superficial injuries.
The carrier of the chainsaw was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the facts, specifies the parquet floor. Deprived of liberty around 8:30 p.m., he was released on condition. The case has been put under investigation, adds the magistrate in charge of the case.
