Vinyl Revival: Gen Z‘s Love Affair with

Vinyl

Gen Z’s love affair with all things vintage is undeniable. From vintage clothing and fuzzy Polaroid pictures to cassette tapes and – yes, even records – Gen Z is embracing the charm of the analog. This throwback movement has undoubtedly been led by the resurgence of vinyl records.

The once-dying medium is experiencing a phenomenal comeback. In

fact, former Spotify economist Will Page predicts that record labels will gross

$1 billion by the end of the year in vinyl sales alone. Globally,

the medium is predicted to surpass CDs, solidifying vinyl

as more than just a fad.

What’s driving this

revival?

While streaming services continue to dominate the music landscape, offering

access to millions of songs for a monthly fee. Gen Z’s enthusiasm

for physical vinyl speaks to a desire for

a more tangible, collectible listening experience.
