Violent Attack at Schaerbeek-Evere Technical Inspection Station – Brussels-Mobility Implements New Security Measures

2023-12-15 10:06:47

The events took place in front of the Schaerbeek-Evere Technical Inspection station on Wednesday December 6. An individual armed with brass knuckles attacked the station manager. The station was immediately closed for the day. The Brussels-Mobility administration has since removed the possibility of presenting your vehicle for inspection without an appointment in the afternoon, as a security measure.

The station manager is unable to work. Neither Brussels-Mobility nor the Brussels-North police zone wish to communicate.

The Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office sent us the following information: “(…) on December 6 around 2 p.m., a person, born in 1968, was attacked at 1030 Schaerbeek, rue Colonel Bourg (driving license and technical inspection examination center). The victim, who was injured in the nose, was transferred to hospital to receive the necessary treatment. (…) After the attack, the suspect (…) fled on foot. An investigation is underway to identify the author of the facts.”
