The Marché au Poisson district, in the city center of Tournai, experienced a particular agitation this Sunday at the end of the afternoon. The police have set up a security perimeter preventing traffic around rue des Puits-l’Eau basse. The sirens of the ambulances and the SMUR also drew the attention of local residents.
What happened ? This relief deployment is the result of a violent fight that broke out between an individual and two other people. According to circumstances that remained to be clarified, the man alone took out a knife before striking one of the two protagonists facing him.
The injured person was taken care of by paramedics before being admitted to the CHWapi emergency room in Tournai. The severity of his injuries is unknown.
