A violent, repeat offender pimp who has already been branded a “parasite” for drugging girls into prostitution day and night will have to remain behind bars until the end of his sentence.

“At this stage, there are no community supervision programs that can adequately protect society,” recently concluded the Parole Board of Canada (PBC), refusing to release Marty “Fata” Antoine.

The 40-year-old man was sentenced in 2015 to nine and a half years in prison for exploiting three young women. Once under his rule, they were forced into prostitution and suffered violence.

The pimp even drugged them so that they chained customers. They had to be available seven days a week, 24 hours a day and hand over all their earnings to him.

Risk too great

At the time, judge Thierry Nadon called him a “parasite”.

“A parasite is someone who lives at the expense of others, of society, and that’s exactly it here,” he commented.

Since his detention, the pimp has made little effort to rehabilitate himself and still advocates violent behavior. Even if he has already served 2/3 of his sentence, he will not be able to benefit from his statutory release since the PBC is convinced that he will commit an “offence causing the death or serious harm to another person if he gets out of detention.

He indeed collects the offenses: insulting remarks towards the staff, possession of drugs or fights, of which he is often the instigator.

If a decrease in his bad behavior had been observed between 2020 and 2021, he has since demonstrated that the use of violence was always a way for him to “evacuate [ses] frustrations».

“I’ll find you”

In March 2022, he threatened to kill a correctional officer who was trying to contain inmates who were causing trouble. She had to deploy a chemical irritant to control them.

“Be careful, I’m going to find you, I’m going out soon, I’m going to find you, I’m going to kill you,” Marty Antoine had told him.

“The victim considers that you have the means to carry out your threats”, noted the commissioners Véronique Buisson and Luc Chamberlain.

For this offence, he recently received a six-month sentence, in addition to the one he was already serving.

Before being sentenced in 2015, Marty Antoine had already spent five years in the shadows for using teenage girls aged 13, 14 and 16 as sex slaves. He had also been forced to serve his full sentence at the time.

It should be noted that only a handful of criminals can benefit from a release at 2/3 of their sentence.
