Arrested after “violently opposing” a police check
A resident of Thalwil (ZH) filmed a woman struggling violently during a police check. A spokesperson confirms his arrest.

Saturday evening, a resident of Thalwil (ZH) witnessed a muscular arrest which he filmed. “I was in my garden when I heard tires screeching. Going to see, I witnessed the arrest, ”he says. This scene shocked him because he doesn’t know why the woman was struggling. “We heard screams. It was a big fight, five police cars were there at the end,” he continues.
In the images of the video, we actually see a 52-year-old woman struggling violently against her arrest and falling into the opposite lane. Everything suggests that his car was stopped by a police vehicle.
She refuses to stop
Kenneth Jones, a spokesperson for the Zurich cantonal police, confirms the facts. “The woman came to the attention of a police patrol because of her conduct,” he explains. Attempts to make her stop were unsuccessful for a long distance. “The woman refused to stop and wanted to evade control by continuing on her way,” he adds.
The police eventually managed to stop the car. “The driver then abruptly exited her vehicle and violently opposed the check. For this reason, she had to be arrested by the intervention forces,” concludes the spokesperson.
