The violent storms expected may locally be accompanied by accumulations of 20 to 40 liters per square meter in one hour, or even very locally more. Hailstones up to 4 or 5 centimeters in diameter and strong gales of up to 90 km/h or more might cause damage.

For now, the whole country – with the exception of West Flanders – is in code yellow from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m., and the provinces of Luxembourg, Liège, Namur and Limburg go into code orange from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“Depending on the evolution of the situation, it is not excluded that other provinces will switch to code orange in the coming hours or that the warning will be extended. In the west of the country, the risk is lower. , but some heavy showers are not excluded either”, specifies the IRM.
