In the city of Dustlik, in Uzbekistan, a fact surprised the medical personnel who had attended a birth. A baby newborn was at risk of death due to being severely genetically compromised.
The minor was born with several genetic defects following being conceived by people close to each other. His parents were a couple of blood brothers.
Through some images from the Dustlik hospital, the minor might be seen in his first minutes of life, in an incubator, while a nurse cleaned his lower back, which was dry.

“It is known that in medicine it is proven that, in most cases, children are born with various genetic defects due to the marriage of close relatives”reported a state official.
The Uzbekistan Ministry of Health reported that the baby, born on June 4, had a disease known as severe congenital ichthyosis. In addition, the entity confirmed that there were other complications in his birth, which it described as “potentially fatal”.
“In particular, because of such families, the unborn child can develop dangerous diseases such as congenital mental retardation, chromosomal abnormalities, Down syndrome, severe mental and physical retardation,” the Institution stated.

The baby’s mother gave birth at 35 weeks and four days. For this reason, the minor was born with worrying proportions, as he barely measured 47 centimeters. The doctors, when they realized that the boy was losing his life, made efforts to revive him, but they were unsuccessful. The neonate died two hours and ten minutes following his birth.
“Therefore, we ask young people preparing to get married, first of all, to undergo a medical examination, and then to start a new life, to avoid marriage between close relatives,” the Ministry of Health said.
