Virat Kohli to play in third Test: KL Rahul

Interim skipper KL Rahul has expressed confidence that India captain Virat Kohli will return to action in the third Test once morest South Africa due to injury. Kohli did not play in the second Test in Johannesburg due to severe back pain. India lost the match by seven wickets. Rahul said that Kohli has recovered and has been training on the net for the past few days.

Rahul said he was confident Kohli would return but it was doubtful that Mohammad Siraj, who was injured in the second Test, would play in the third Test. ‘Siraj needs to be monitored on the net. If the leg muscles are injured, it can be difficult to recover quickly. But there is no need to worry as Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma will play as replacements. We expected such injuries when we came here for the Test series, ”said Rahul.
