Dinesh Karthik has opined that a tactical error against Aston Agar led to Virat’s dismissal.
Dinesh Karthik said that playing a stroke against the spin ball in the last over of the match led to Virat’s dismissal.
Speaking to Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik gave his opinion on Virat’s dismissal.
“He started really well and played a handful of good shots. But his shot against the spin was wrong.
Dinesh Karthik said Virat should not have played the stroke shot in Aston Agar’s last shot.
“He had a good chance to lead the team to the goal. He missed it.
He doesn’t play any big shots much between runs between the wickets. He also lost his wicket in that shot he played,’ added Dinesh Karthik.
Virat was able to perform well by scoring 54 runs in the match. Team India lost the third ODI by 21 runs.
Meanwhile, India’s domestic T20 league, the Indian Premier League, will begin on March 31. The group stage matches of the tournament will be held till May 21.
