Virginia mother faces criminal charges for raping 15-year-old twins who lived in a neighboring house and they were friends of his son.
Ashleigh Watts, 37, was arrested last week and charged with indecency with a minoras reviewed on Tuesday Law & Crime.
The investigation against Watts was launched by an anonymous tip to the Chesapeake Police Department. on February 22 of this year. The complaint alleged that the woman had sexual relations with minors.
Around those dates, the information reached the Police that Watts’ husband, earlier that month, arrived at the home one night to find his topless wife on a couch. Next to him was one of the alleged victims who pretended to be asleep, according to the man.
When the minor was questioned by his parents, this confessed that he had gone to Watts’s house to smoke marijuana and that he fell asleep.
A neighbor allegedly confirmed the husband’s suspicions.
allegedly, the minor told him that Watts and he were in love and that when he turned 17 the woman was going to divorce and marry him.
Both the husband and one of the parents of the victims told the authorities that at one point the relationship between the two families was very close to the point that they were free to come and go from one house to another without impediment. Additionally, the close bond between the Watts’ son and the twins encouraged the above.
Last July, one of the brothers disappeared and his parents reported it as a runaway. Three weeks later, officers arrived at the Watts’ home looking for the boy. Initially, the woman told officers to wait outside while she put on a bra and led the dogs out.
“Officers realized several minutes later that Watts returned to the door with the two dogs inside the residence and allowed them to enter,” according to the criminal complaint cited by the aforementioned outlet.
“While officers were removing a mattress in a second-story room, they saw a young white man hiding in a small space wearing only boxer shorts. When questioned by officers, he admitted (that he was the young man who ran away from his house) and presented his Learner’s Permit,” the document added.
The boy was transferred to Chesapeake Youth Services..
In the case of the brother, he would have confessed to the Police that Watts touched him inappropriately and supplied him with marijuana.
