The Apple Vision Pro phenomenon attracts crowds. In fact, the stock of pre-orders was exhausted in record time.
In just 30 minutes, the Apple Vision Pro created history by becoming Apple’s first space computer to go out of stock. Launched on the US Apple Online Store, pre-orders sparked a buying frenzy, pushing delivery dates back to March.
Friday February 2 will mark the official arrival in stores in the United States, and Apple already has a strategy to guarantee access to its flagship products. Stock will be made available for direct sale, providing an alternative to those lucky enough to miss out on pre-ordering.
Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo estimates that only 80,000 units were available at launch, well below expected demand. This initial limitation explains how quickly stocks sold out, but the Vision Pro’s high price hasn’t deterred Apple enthusiasts.
However, the real question remains: will the rush to pre-order the Vision Pro translate into long-term success? Nothing is assured, because an initial out of stock does not necessarily guarantee the sustainability of the product in the months and years to come.
