Vivendi is preparing its big bang. The supervisory board of the group controlled by the Bolloré family must give its opinion to continue – or abandon, even if this seems less likely – the plan to split the conglomerate, unveiled in mid-December and under study since. He might take advantage of the publication of annual results in March to express himself.

To the surprise of the markets, Vivendi announced on December 13 that it wanted to split into three entities, listed separately: one around Havas, the second around the Canal+ group (a priori including its investments in the South African operator Multichoice , the Swedish Viaplay and the Hong Kong Viu) and the last bringing together in an investment vehicle different holdings, in particular the majority stake in Lagardère. Assets like Prisma Media and Gameloft and stakes in Universal Music Group, Telecom Italia (TIM) and MediaForEurope should also be included, like that in the Spanish media group Prisa.
