New information suggests that vivo is preparing to launch a new entry-level device, the vivo Y18. The model was listed on the Google Play Console and had some of its specifications revealed.
Furthermore, its configurations suggest that the cell phone could be a renamed version of another already launched model, the vivo Y03. It was recently made official in Indonesia at an affordable price.
The vivo Y18 appeared in the Google Play Console database with code V2333. However, it is worth remembering that the vivo Y03, before being launched, was certified by the NBTC with V2333, suggesting that it is the same device, but with a launch aimed at different markets. If the information is correct, they will have similar specifications.
In February 2024, the vivo Y18 and vivo Y03 were certified by the Bluetooth SIG, which revealed Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The Google Play Console also reveals the front design of the first, which bears similarities to the second. Under the hood, it will come equipped with MediaTek’s Helio G85 platform.
The chipset also has 6 GB of RAM and features an Android 14 operating system. Apparently, the configuration is the only difference to the vivo Y03, which was launched with just 4 GB of RAM.
Unfortunately, these are the only information revealed about the vivo Y18. It is expected to be made official by the end of this month.
