Vladimir Putin, glass of champagne in hand, accuses the Ukrainians of attacking energy infrastructure first: “Who started it?”

For the head of the Kremlin, the Ukrainians can only blame themselves for what is happening to them: “Who started these attacks”, he launched to the soldiers present. “Who hit the Crimean bridge (on October 8, a truck exploded on the track causing enormous damage, Editor’s note.)? And the Kursk nuclear power plant?” he asks again.

Vladimir Putin continued his speech by saying that Ukraine had cut off the water supply to the city of Donetsk, a pro-Russian separatist stronghold: “It’s a genocidal act”, vilified the Russian leader. “Nobody talks about it. Radio silence,” he criticized. According to the politician, there is indeed a difference in global treatment between Russia and Ukraine: “As soon as we make a movement, that we do something in reaction, the whole universe screams. But it did not interfere with our military operations,” he concludes before toasting with his soldiers.
