Vladimir Putin Leads Presidential Elections with 87.97% – Latest Update March 17

Moscow. March 17. INTERFAX.RU – Vladimir Putin is the leader in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation with 87.97% of the votes based on the results of processing 24.4% of the protocols, said the head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova.

“Putin Vladimir Vladimirovich – 15 million 755 thousand 224 votes cast. 87.97%,” Pamfilova said at a briefing at the Central Election Commission on Sunday.

In second place is State Duma deputy (fraction of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation) Nikolai Kharitonov – 681 thousand 309 (3.8%).

In third place is Vice Speaker of the State Duma, member of the New People party Vladislav Davankov – 667 thousand 448 votes (3.73%).

In fourth place is the head of the LDPR party, Leonid Slutsky, 529 thousand 260 (2.96%).

Voter turnout in the presidential elections in the Russian Federation as of 18:00 Moscow time was 74.22%, said the head of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova.
