Russian President Vladimir Putin, with his address to the residents of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, made it clear to the whole world that the new territories are forever with Russia. There can be no negotiations. The head of state also reassured the residents of the country that the Russian economy is being more and more rebuilt and becoming stronger every day. This is how experts interpret URA.RU’s video message from the head of state to new regions on the occasion of Reunification Day with Russia on September 30.

Vladimir Putin congratulated the residents of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions on the day of reunification with Russia. “A year ago, on September 30, a defining, truly historical and fateful event took place: agreements were signed on the admission of four new subjects of the Federation to Russia. Millions of residents of Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions have made their choice – to be with their Fatherland,” the head of state emphasized.

Putin noted that at the last elections, residents of new regions again “expressed and confirmed their will” to be with Russia. “There is a lot of work ahead and the solution of complex problems, the implementation of a large-scale program for the revival and socio-economic development of our historical regions. And we will definitely achieve our goals,” the president assured.

At the end of the address, the head of state especially addressed the residents of the new regions and thanked them. “Thanks to you, your firmness and determination, Russia has become even stronger. We are one people and together we will overcome everything and respond to any challenges,” Putin concluded.

With his speech, the head of state made it clear to all residents of the country that Russia is in the stage of development and economic restructuring, says political scientist Daniil Ermilov. “In his speech, the president outlined the vector where we will move. Yes, we can handle it. Yes, the situation is complicated. Yes, everything that does not kill us makes us stronger and the state actually becomes stronger. Every day it is being rebuilt. This is a constant process, and the president is the summing vector of the work of the entire state. A lot of information from different groups comes down to him, and he is exactly the person who can say, “yes, we can do it,” Ermilov explained the meaning of Putin’s words.

According to the head of the Center for Resolution of Social Conflicts Oleg Ivanov, the president is also addressing the international community. “Putin once again confirmed that there can be no negotiations on the status of these territories. He directly made it clear to the entire world community, primarily the Western world, that these territories are with the Russian Federation forever,” the expert concluded.
