Volkswagen announced its changes for the 2024 model year

Every model in the current lineup has now been redesigned or updated from the 2022 model year, resulting in the freshest Volkswagen lineup in years.

With more value for 2024, every Volkswagen model with an automatic transmission now offers standard IQ.DRIVE driver assistance technology, making it one of the most widely available practical semi-automatic driving systems on the market today.

The full set of features outside of Emergency Assist is also standard on all manual transmission models.

Volkswagen Car-Net Safe & Secure is available at no additional cost for 5 years for 2024 model year vehicles.

Upon activation, the 5-year plan includes Emergency Assistance, Information Assistance, Automatic Crash Notification, Anti-Theft Alert (requires myVW app, except ID.4), and Stolen Vehicle Location Assistance (except ID.4).

To activate the plan, owners agree to the Car-Net Terms of Service during myVW registration and then enroll in Safe & Secure located in the Shop section of the myVW app.

Select MY24 vehicles are expected to begin arriving in dealer showrooms shortly.

ARTEON

For the 2024 model year, the Arteon is available in two trims, both with standard 4Motion all-wheel drive: the SEL R-Line and the SEL Premium R-Line. The Arteon line only adds minor cosmetic changes for the 2024 model year.

MSRP for the 2024 Arteon starts at $47,875.

ATLAS Y ATLAS CROSS SPORT

The Atlas will offer six trim levels for the 2024 model year: SE, SE with Technology, Peak Edition SE with Technology, SEL, Peak Edition SEL and SEL Premium R-Line. Atlas Cross Sport will offer five trim levels for the 2024 model year: SE, SE with Technology, SEL, SEL R-Line, and SEL Premium R-Line.

The refreshed Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport feature a stylish new interior and a refined turbocharged engine that enhances both performance and the driving experience.

By 2024, the Atlas family will be powered solely by a turbocharged, direct-injection TSI four-cylinder engine with 269 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.

The new engine provides similar power to the previous VR6, along with increased torque, which is available over a wider rev range, improving drivability and acceleration.

An eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive are standard; Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system is available across the entire model range.

While the refreshed Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport largely maintain the same underpinnings of the successful outgoing models, each vehicle’s spacious interior receives a major update for the 2024 model year.

Premium materials are adopted throughout, including a soft-touch leatherette-trimmed dash and center console.

The front row door trim and decoration seamlessly flow into the instrument panel, creating a luxurious cabin; the door treatment is also reflected in the second row.

Available ambient lighting with 30 color options is paired with innovative backlit dash décor featuring model name to enhance the new design.

Higher-end models feature quilted leather seats with diamond stitching.

Comfort features also get a boost. A heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, ventilated front seats and a height-adjustable passenger seat are now standard, along with Climatronic® automatic climate control and voice control.

The center console was redesigned with a storage cubby below. Leather seating surfaces and heated second-row rear seats are now available in a lower trim line than previous models.

The seven-seater Atlas line is bolstered by the addition of the Atlas Peak EditionTM trim line for 2024.

Peak Edition models feature unique interior and exterior appointments, including body cladding elements, unique wheels, off-road tires, blacked-out exterior accents, unique interior styling, and are only available with 4Motion All-Wheel Drive.

MSRP for the 2024 Atlas starts at $37,725. MSRP for the 2024 Atlas Cross Sport 2.0-liter starts at $36,715.

GOLF GTI

For the 2024 model year, the Golf GTI is available in three main trims: S, SE, and Autobahn. Minor changes include power-folding outside mirrors for all models and a new wheel design for SE models.

A set of special equipment called the “GTI 380” will also be available; more details will come at a later date.

MSRP for the 2024 Golf GTI starts at $31,765.

GOLF-R

The Golf R is available in a well-equipped trim for the 2024 model year. Minor changes include power-folding outside mirrors and, as a mid-cycle update, a new 19-inch wheel design.

MSRP for the 2024 Golf R starts at $45,455.

ID.4
Details about the 2024 ID.4 EV will be announced at a later date.

JETTA Y JETTA THE

The Jetta is available in four trims for the 2024 model year: S, Sport, SE, and SEL. The 2024 GLI is offered in two versions: 40th Anniversary Edition and Autobahn.

The Jetta and GLI now offer IQ.DRIVE driver-assist technology standard on all automatic transmission models (the full feature set outside of Emergency Assist is also standard on all manual transmission models).

Additionally, S trims add an eco-leather-trimmed steering wheel, leather gear shift knob, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and rain-sensing wiper function.

Sporty trims add heated front seats and a space-saving spare tire. GLI Autobahn models add a heated steering wheel for the 2024 model year.

MSRP for the 2024 Jetta starts at $21,435 and the GLI starts at $28,085.

Taos

For the 2024 model year, the Taos is available in three trims: S, SE, and SEL. All Taos models now offer standard IQ.DRIVE driver assistance technology; Plus, all three trims offer upgraded interior stitching.

S trims add Light Assist, rain-sensing wipers, and a heated leatherette-wrapped steering wheel. SE models upgrade to dual-zone Climatronic automatic climate control and an SE Black package (available later) will offer a black roof, wheels and additional blackout exterior design elements.

MSRP for the 2024 Taos starts at $23,995.

TIGUAN

The Tiguan is available in four trims for 2024: S, SE, SE R-Line Black, and SEL R-Line. All Tiguan models now offer standard IQ.DRIVE driver assistance technology.

S trims add an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing wiper function, and a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel. A mid-cycle upgrade will also include the MIB3 Composition Media infotainment system with wireless charging and wireless App-Connect.

MSRP for the 2024 Tiguan starts at $28,505.
