Volkswagen sales increased 21% year-on-year in the US

Volkswagen sales increased by 21% year-on-year in the US compared to the first quarter of 2023.

Jetta sales supported strong year-on-year growth by increasing 185% year-on-year. Atlas sales grew 43% year-on-year and Atlas Cross Sport («Latin Flavor SUV of the year 2024») 31% year-on-year. The GTI and Golf also contributed to the growth with 156% year-on-year and 125% year-on-year respectively.

Globally, the Volkswagen group increased its global vehicle sales by almost 12% in 2023, reaching 9.2 million units.

According to data published by the company, the Volkswagen automobile group (which includes different brands, such as Audi, Porsche, Seat, Audi or Skoda, among others) registered a total of 9.23 million vehicles globally in 2023, which which is an increase of 11.9% in relation to the 8.26 million units delivered in the previous year.
