The United States must repent to mankind for the atomic attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This statement was made by the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

“On August 6, 1945, 77 years ago, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Three days later, the second city, Nagasaki, was destroyed. Who posed no threat August 6 and 9 should be the days of Washington’s repentance to humanity for the crimes committed against civilians,” Volodin wrote on Telegram.

He emphasized that Japanese cities were not the only victims of the actions of the American authorities. “After Hiroshima and Nagasaki, there were Korea, Vietnam, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine,” Volodin wrote.

According to the speaker, the purpose of killing hundreds of civilians was only to intimidate the whole world. “The United States remains the only state on the planet that has used nuclear weapons,” he said.
