False prophecies by the Kickl-FPÖ once again prove their implausibility

Vienna (OTS) – “The measures taken by the federal government are having an effect. After Chancellor Karl Nehammer announced tough action against energy companies that do not pass on falling wholesale prices to their end customers, one energy supplier after the other is lowering prices. This consistent attitude of our Chancellor leaves people at the end of the month more money in the stock exchange. At the same time, cheaper energy prices will slow down inflation significantly,” comments the energy spokeswoman for the People’s Party, Tanja Graf, on the price reductions of many domestic energy companies.

“In this way, the federal government has also proven that its course through the crisis was the right one. Positioning yourself like FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl and posting a series of spongy headlines has never solved a problem. Kickl’s strategy would probably have been begging for cheap gas from Vladimir Putin. Contrary to all prophecies of doom by the FPÖ, no end to the sanctions was necessary to bring energy prices down to a lower level. Now it remains to be seen how long it will take for the Freedom Party to drop this issue again because all their prophecies have once again vanished into thin air.
