Degrading and insulting our political counterparts is the FPÖ’s only achievement – our path is different: looking instead of looking away and constructive problem solving
Vienna (OTS) – “The problem is not a single provocative tweet or photo montages from Mayor Ludwig on social media – the problem is the FPÖ’s obvious strategy that lies behind it: It is no longer about content, but purely about the contempt and degradation of one’s political counterpart.” said the state party chairman of the Vienna People’s Party, city councilor Karl Mahrer, on the occasion of yesterday’s FPÖ Halloween campaign. The work of the Vienna FPÖ obviously only consists of personal attacks, insults and monotonous and meaningless calls for resignation.
Instead of seriously dealing with Vienna’s challenges and looking for solutions, the political climate is being further poisoned: “In my view, this is completely counterproductive and dangerous. The discussion shifts away from the content and towards political squabbles. “We won’t be able to solve the problems in our city with this,” Mahrer continued.
It is high time to put an end to the irrelevant political exchanges: “We will continue to consistently look at problems and work on solutions – and always treat our political counterparts with respect,” concluded Mahrer.
