Vienna (OTS) – “There must be no safety risk for Austrian soldiers. The situation in Ukraine is unstable and unpredictable. It is therefore not conceivable for me to send Austrian soldiers into the war zone. As defense spokesman, I fully support Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner, who clearly rejected this initiative by the Federal President. Because it bears the responsibility for every deployment of Austrian soldiers,” said the military spokesman of the People’s Party, Friedrich Ofenauer.
