Vuelta a España 2021: the two stages of the mountainous weekend – Cycling – Sports

The Back to Spain it will have an exciting second week finale, with two mountain stages that will undoubtedly move the overall classification.

The first big stage will be this Saturday, between Don Benito and Pico Villuercas, 165.7 kilometers and three mountain passes.

The first will be at kilometer 86, third category. The second will be close, at km 97, first category, a rise of 2.8 km, but with ramps up to 14 percent incline.

The end of the section will be interesting, with an ascent of 14.5 kilometers, with an average percentage of 6.2 percent of incline and maximum of 15 percent in the final part.

In the middle of the prize the cyclists will find ramps up to 9.5 percent, demanding. It’s a tough, long climb, ideal for hurting.

It will be the 197-kilometer section between Navalmoral de la Eye and The Barraco, with four strong ascents.

The highest ranked Colombians are Miguel Angel Lopez, in the fifth box, 3 min 28 s from Christian Eiking, the leader.
