The famous watchmaking house presents a reinterpreted version of its iconic Grand Prix watch, available for sale for CHF 1,400.
Since its creation in 1859 by the Ditisheim brothers, the Swiss watchmaking house Vulcan occupies a privileged place in the world of luxury watchmaking, notably with three of its most famous watch models: the Cricket, the Nautical and the Grand Prix. The latter saw the light of day in the 1960s, named in homage to the Grand Prix obtained in 1929 by the brand at the Universal Exhibition in Barcelona. Several decades later, Vulcain now offers a reissued version of its Grand Prix in a diameter of 39 mm and a thickness of 12.70 mm under the direction of Guillaume Laidet, already at the origin of the reissue of the 1970’s Chronograph watch.

Accurate time reading with aesthetics and functionality
Since 2022, Vulcain has been part of a trajectory of reinterpretation of iconic pieces from its history. After the Vulcan Cricket in fall 2022, the Skindiver in January 2023, the Chronograph 1970’s in March 2023, the Nautical in fall 2023 and the Monopusher in November 2023, Vulcain celebrates a new part of its revival with the long-awaited reissue of the Grand Prix 39mm.
This watch, featuring a domed dial in cream, light gray or black, with a semi-gloss sunburst finish, enhanced by polished indexes which adds a touch of timeless refinement, is a synonym of elegance. Thin and refined, it offers precise time reading with aesthetics and functionality as well as water resistance up to 5 ATM highlighting its versatility in both a formal and casual setting.
The Grand Prix watch by Vulcain
Powered by Swiss automatic movement Landeron L24, the Vulcain Grand Prix guarantees exceptional precision with a power reserve of 40 hours. Little vintage touch: this watch is equipped with a doubly domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating ensuring optimal freedom.
The Vulcain Grand Prix has been available since February 15, 2024 on the Vulcain website as well as from all its commercial partners for 1,400 CHF.
