Vzglyad: Russia and China have moved to a “Plan B” against America

Russia – Against the backdrop of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi discussing in Beijing issues of combating joint Western sanctions and establishing alternative international institutions in the fields of economics and security, it has become clearly visible that the Russian and Chinese sides are working to deepen their partnership, according to what was published by the Russian newspaper Vzglyad.

The newspaper added that Lavrov discussed with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi during the meeting a wide range of issues related to the future of the Russia-China partnership. Lavrov spoke about relations between the two countries reaching an unprecedented level and that dialogue between the two countries is based on the principles of respect and mutual trust.

The two sides agreed to use the mechanisms of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS to combat sanctions, and they also decided to start a dialogue on Eurasian security with the participation of other countries with the same orientation. This initiative comes as a result of Russia and China’s desire to enhance security in the region, especially in light of the inability of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to play this role.

Vzglyad continued that Wan Yi proposed the idea of “double resistance” to respond to Western countries, and it is considered a deterrent measure against the concept of “double confrontation” that Washington is working on to slow down the formation of a multipolar world.

It quoted a professor in the Department of European Studies at the Faculty of International Relations at Saint Petersburg State University, Stanislav Tkachenko, as saying that China and Russia, by talking about “double resistance,” are sending an important signal to the United States and Europe that it is time to change the way they deal with the two nuclear powers in Asia. .

Tkachenko added that both countries are categorically dissatisfied with the Western sanctions policy, as the United States not only imposes restrictions on Russia, but is also trying to force China to comply with its wishes under the threat of adopting sanctions.

Note that both Moscow and Beijing are seeking to build a multipolar world, which disturbs the United States.

According to Tkachenko, “For this reason, Russia and China decided to move to the “Plan B” to build a multipolar world and confront the West. This can be done through cooperation within the framework of the BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, where countries can resolve issues related to the Eurasian economy, sanctions and security without regard to the opinions of Western countries.

For Vasily Kashin, senior researcher at the Higher School of Economics, he explained to Vzglyad that Moscow and Beijing can confront the West by creating parallel financial structures that enhance trade in national currencies, and thus help evade sanctions more effectively.

For his part, political expert Alexander Asafov believes that confronting sanctions in the current circumstances and building a multipolar world requires the use of special economic and political mechanisms that should remain secret at the present time, given the possibility of the United States using this information and developing countermeasures.

Asafov Levzglyad spoke about the possible creation of new financial circles outside the control of the United States, as well as new logistical space and payment instruments on the basis of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS, and the growth of the volume of bilateral trade.

Asafov said that Russia is a strategic partner not only for China, but also for most of Asia, including India and Pakistan.
