W.Tomaszewskis: the results in the Vilnius district are a consequence of the “political market”, he also blames the shooters

“We note that fact – after a dirty and impartial campaign, the election cannot be called free, unfortunately,” said W. Tomaszewski at the press conference on Monday.

According to him, the party accepted the results when, for the first time since 1995, the candidate of this party lost in the Vilnius district, giving way to the social democrat Robert Duchnevič.

“We met calmly, we predicted a similar situation. I call this a situation, because it is not some kind of defeat, it is a consequence of the political market, when not only parties that do not even participate in the elections in this district unite, but also the top leaders of the country applied using their official position, applied and supported one of the candidates”, – the party leader spoke.

According to him, this party has about 40% of permanent voters in the district, 42% live in the Vilnius district. residents of Polish nationality.

“And Waldemar Urban got more than 49 percent, so the result, as you can see from these numbers, is good,” said W. Tomaszewski.

According to him, violations were discovered after the Central Election Commission announced the results. In Rudamina, according to the leader of the party, with a difference of just a few hundred votes between the candidates, about a hundred of them were “hidden”, assigned to the candidate of the Social Democrats.

“Other representatives noticed after half an hour, but here is a clear example of unfair elections, when commission members hide a hundred votes and allocate them to other candidates. If there is such an unfair fight, there may be even more such unnoticed events,” said W. Tomaszewski.

He himself does not even remotely admit his guilt for the lost elections. However, even the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union is facing accusations – it is said that its members intimidated voters in the Vilnius district.

“Regarding these elections, they were not free, they were biased, and according to our Constitution they must be free.

There was some moral intimidation when about 200 members of the paramilitary organization prevented them from asserting their will.

Let’s say, three voters who were apparently drunk were arrested in one precinct. They were kept for two hours, the drunkenness was checked – zero. But of course, people did not go to vote after this stress.

When someone comes to vote and transports their neighbor, observers from the paramilitary structure immediately terrorize them, saying that this is a violation and they cannot enter the polling station. Such an unfair, illegal act,” said W. Tomaszewski.

He mentioned that one of the former candidates, who he claimed was a “member of a paramilitary organization”, had appealed to voters to hide the passports of elderly people so that they could not vote.

“A complaint was filed with the CEC and the police, and the police started a pre-trial complaint, as this is a criminal liability – obstruction of the expression of one’s electoral will. You can laugh at it, I understand, but if the legal system was working, then practically the pre-trial investigation would be published in the media,” said the leader of the LLRA-KŠS.

However, LLRA-KŠS, as it seems, does not even intend to appeal the results of these elections to the court: “You know, the courts need evidence. We have, unfortunately, such a situation in the field of justice that even elections cannot be appealed. Two years ago, we filed a complaint about election falsification during the Seimas elections, and the complaint was not examined in the Constitutional Court.”
