FORMER General Elections Commissioner (KPU) Wahyu Setiawan, who was also convicted in the bribery case for the replacement of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the 2019-2024 period, was seen waiting in the lobby of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Building, Jakarta, Monday (29/7).
Wahyu was seen wearing a black short-sleeved shirt. He was seen exchanging IDs at the reception.
He received a red ID. This indicates that he was being questioned as a witness in an alleged corruption case.
The KPK has not confirmed regarding Wahyu’s examination. Previously, the KPK had examined Wahyu in the alleged bribery case which was also fugitive Harun Masiku on December 28, 2023.
The KPK investigation team questioned Wahyu to investigate the whereabouts of Harun who has been on the run for more than four years. Wahyu’s residence in Banjarnegara, Central Java, was also searched on December 12, 2023.
Wahyu is a key witness in the Harun Masiku bribery case. Where, he acted as the recipient of the bribe and has finished serving his criminal sentence after receiving a Parole program since October 6, 2023. (Z-3)
