Wall Street’s main indexes fell at the open on Monday as US Treasury yields continued to rise on expectations of tighter monetary policy, while Bank of America ended Wall Street banking results with better-than-expected quarterly earnings.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 39.74 points, or 0.12%, to 34,411.49 points.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 index opened, down 6.96 points, or 0.16%, to 4,385.63 points, and the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 31.69 points, or 0.24%, to 13,319.39 points.
