The Walloon government has adopted the decree that will allow the sharing of locally produced renewable energy. Several dozen projects were waiting for this green light.

LLong awaited in Wallonia when it is already in force in Brussels, the legal framework authorizing and facilitating the creation of renewable energy communities was approved this Friday by the regional government PS-MR-Ecolo. It takes the form of an order implementing the decree defended in May 2022 by Minister Philippe Henry and aimed in particular at bringing the production of this energy closer to consumers.
The Ecolo is of course delighted with this progress which corresponds to a request, if we judge by the dozens of projects which were stamping their feet with impatience: “Renewable energies will thus be accessible to a wider public and will allow savings on the invoice but also economies of scale at the level of the installations. »
