Russian occupation forces struck the Donetsk region. Slavyansk and Kramatorsk found themselves under enemy fire.

“In Kramatorsk, the Russians hit an industrial zone and the private sector with missiles – probably, under the rubble of one of the houses there is a family of 4 people, including two teenagers. 2 houses were destroyed, 23 more were damaged,” the message says.

At the same time, in Slavyansk, the occupiers hit a school. Mayor of the city Vadim Lyakh toldthat at about 20:00 there was a hit in OOSH 18.

“In its building there was a social canteen, an indestructibility point, one of the points for issuing humanitarian aid. One person may be under the rubble of the school. Work is underway to extinguish the fire and clear the rubble,” he emphasized.

Updated 22:49: A rescue operation is underway at the site of the strike in Kramatorsk. Rescuers of the State Emergency Service are clearing the rubble of houses – according to preliminary information, there may be three people there, reported head of the Donetsk OVA Vadim Filashkin.

He subsequently added that rescuers recovered the body of a woman born in 1977 from the rubble.

“Probably 2 more people are under the rubble. The rescue operation continues,” Filashkin wrote.

Updated 23:49: The number of victims of the Russian strike on Kramatorsk has increased to two. Rescuers recovered the body of a 23-year-old man from under the rubble of the house.

This was announced by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadim Filashkin. According to operational information, one person is still under the rubble.

Shelling of Ukrainian cities

On February 17, Russian occupiers dropped aerial bombs on Kupyansk, Kharkov region. One of the bombs hit an apartment building. It was reported that Russian troops, according to preliminary data, dropped at least five aerial bombs on Kupyansk.

As of 22:30, one woman was killed and five were wounded as a result of the attack on Kupyansk. Three women and two men were injured.
